@joshspector yes, ezactly.
So I hit SUBMIT!
took a while, now I feel much better. Satisfied even.
@alextoth.bsky.social Agency is power! 💪
@alextoth yeah..
@alextoth.bsky.social Duty …
A concept that gets less and less understood today. Is it old-fashioned already?
Not that I don’t agree
@alextoth.bsky.social Yes, the WHY is critical! I agree.
But what if it’s not there? …
@ianthesonofgib.bsky.social
😂 Sure
@alextoth.bsky.social The constraint forced a creative pivot. I couldn’t use a hammer, so I had to invent a scalpel.
I went back to first principles—specifically Discrete Mathematics.
@alextoth.bsky.social Instead of heavy encryption, I architected a lightweight authentication protocol using 2 synchronized Pseudo-Random Number Generators (PRNG) and a simple Boolean XOR operation.
@alextoth.bsky.social The hardest part wasn’t the code; it was the physics. RF packets get lost. If the receiver and transmitter drifted out of sync, the security check would fail, killing system availability.
@alextoth.bsky.social To solve this, I defined a “De-Synchronization Vector” to mathematically model the drift. I implemented a “Sliding Window” search algorithm that allowed the system to predict and re-synchronize the sequence even after packet loss.
@alextoth.bsky.social The result was 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗣𝟮𝟳𝟭𝟵𝟱𝟱𝟭𝗕𝟭. It was secure, robust, and ran on a chip that today’s smart toaster would laugh at.
@ianthesonofgib.bsky.social That’s a deep and powerful insight.
As, how could one expert professional level performance when now investing professional level focus and dedicated time - aka make it a priority?
@Russssty
Yea, I know . I need to be back again, thanks for the idea
@Russssty nope 😂
This time was flying from Bucharest to Budapest for a weekend break.
Great, but very cold …
@FichtelDom yes, the army. I managed to come of age just the year it stopped being mandatory. So I managed to do something better with my time. Leaving things to professionals, same as others do for me
